The horse problem Empty The horse problem

hey everyone,
I heard from becca that we will never get horses if we don't update the map, and i also saw big's topic about that. (haven't been on the forums for a while)
Well, maybe we could make a new section on the black market, with all the mob eggs.
Then, shop owners can sell the eggs, and the people can use them.
I hope you take this into consideration swing, i mean, the horses will give a new drive to minecraft.
thanks,

~mieking

But how do you know horses won't spawn? If it recognises the biome, and if horses spawn in the particular biome, it should still spawn.

There's also blocks that need to be added, Like the nether we'd have to reset the map for those blocks to be there.
Maybe we can add a section to the BM for all the horse stuff, or something, Then if the horses don't spawn maybe make them a Donor point thing or sell just Horse spawn eggs at the bm, If people really want horses that bad.

This. And I don't understand why everyone is freaking out about horses... I promise that with in a few weeks/months no one will give a shit about horses because we tele-port everywhere with / commands. Horses will be pretty much useless except for maybe exploring the map a little easier (if we do even get it expanded)

horses give minecraft an extra drive,it has to be added, no donor point thing, that is just not fair, just sell them at the blackmarket, all the horse stuff, then its fair for everyone!

No it doesn't just like no one really cares about villagers anymore, except for to farm them for good trades.

I agree with frodo. Being able to tp everywhere kinda renders the horse useless.

Just thought of something else too, people were all excited about riding pigs with carrots, nobody does it.

Why doesn't swing and Spiddles just give every R2+ 2 horse spawn eggs.
The horses breed and you get more like that.
._. Problem solved.

In the current snapshot horses are having problems with de-spawning after you look away so people rarely see them. Horses are planned to be naturally spawning like every other passive mob that has ever been in the game of minecraft.

As for the new blocks that will be in the update ... its called Hardend clay, and Hay block and they are craftable items, the only map change is that desserts become "more deserty" ... so there is no question that this update does not require a map update un the least.

I found all this stuff in under 5 minutes of searching ... come on guys ... at least try to find out for yourself Razz

I certainly didn't know that the last 2 options existed.
