Before you even think of posting, consider these things:
Rep is a good thing, a negative rep is not, think of it as the higher the rep you have, the more the server likes you, most of the time. Obbleboble however, doesn't know how to stop +repping swingingkings. If you see a good comment, go ahead and + it but don't always -rep someone just because you disagree with them, in my eyes, you may down rep them if they do the following:
Excessive swearing,
Making people feel uncomfortable,
Spamming,
Just being plain rude
Or just showing overall disrespect to someone.
Repping is anonymous but you may want to warn them to discontinue the 'action' being performed.

When you post, you mean to add onto the conversation at hand or start a new one, post as if you were talking to someone in real life. That means don't be disrespectful, avoid swearing as much as possible, no spamming (an equivalent of speaking gibberish when talking to someone) and using correct English, which includes punctuation, grammar and spelling, Just before you post, look at what you've written and think if there may be a bad aftermath that follows that comment in the conversation.

The minority of people who use the PerthCraft forums are moderators or admins (owners), they get the unique ability to do things to your thread, without you knowing. They can lock it, delete it, sticky it, move it and all sorts of mumbo-jumbo, but they doing for a reason, if a moderator does something to your thread, accept it and don't argue, they're doing it for the sake of everyone else (well, unless they're trolling). You might think, how can the moderators be able to do all those thing we we have the same forum set up as them? Well, they get a slightly different view at the forum. They can select posts and threads with a little check-box next to each post. In the actions drop-down menu, they get a whole lot more options than we do.
- Your Profile:

You can't change your username, nor your email once your forum account has been made, however, your password can be changed on your profile. Then you have some more optional info that you can fill in underneath that. Preferences act as a filter, you choose what feature you want on your account or not. A signature is a picture or a text that is meant to go under each of your posts but alas on this site, it doesn't seem to work for some reason. Attachments at a bit like dropbox, just online storage. Your avatar is your picture that everyone recognises you by, feel free to change it at any time, its max size is 150x200 pixels, a vertical picture more or less. The file size cannot exceed 64 kb. Friends and foes are just people who appear as friends on your profile, I'm not too sure about foes though. You can add friends or foes at any time, they just have to accept the request. Watching threads are automatically added to the list if they have been viewed a lot by you, it's a bit like you subscribed to the thread. Favourites is the a compilation of threads that you've favourited.

So many threads, at first, it just looks very complicated, which is why I've come up with this guide, to help you navigate though the forum.- Perthcraft News:

This sub-forum is used to notify all forum members, all members should be constantly active in this subforum as important information about the server could be displayed here, as well as events and competitions and just news that should be addressed to everyone in a matter of importance. Don't post just anything here. Make your own thread here if you believe everyone should see it, but it should be related to the server at least.

Not to get confused with off-topic chat, this sub-forum is for talking about server related things, perhaps a successful mine or a recent big income of sorts. Make a thread here if you want to share something that is server related.

Feel that you've experienced enough of the server to say that you're able and mature enough to become a moderator? Well, this is the place for you. First read the thread regarding applications at the top and then once you've read and that you meet the requirements, copy the sample form and make your own thread for your app, fill out the app and wait for an owner to come judge it (usually Spiddles from what I see), this can take from a couple of hours to day to receive a verdict. Don't spam other people's apps but saying that an app is good and stuff is allowed, just don't create a conversation filled with irrelevant things on someone's app. Don't make a thread here unless it's a staff application! If you get accepted, you will have to prove yourself till the end of the month, from there the owners make the decisions who gets get promoted and demoted.

This sub-forum isn't a forum you want to be in frequently unless you're not in trouble. Here you can report people, with evidence and screenshots, for doing things such as griefing (a big problem), using xray mods, hacking or being over-abusive and swearing with capitals (caps), with the abusing and swearing, you'll be likely to be muted first before getting into any major trouble. First time abusers get let off with a warning once they appeal but next time you get permanently banned unless you supply a donation of $10 to either Spiddles or Swingingkings. Ban Appeals are your bail card out of jail (like in monopoly), like your staff application, if you make your appeal good, you can go back on the server.

Probably an underused sub-forum that is merely for advertising your shop or town, pretty straight forward. It's free advertising too. Just try to make your shop/town look good. This sub-forum is exclusively for shops and towns.

The server is great, but it can be better. Suggestions to the forum or to the server are appreciated as we wouldn't have thought of adding 'that thing' in before, threads based on suggestions only here, please.

I myself don't have expertise in this area, but here you can donate to the server and in return, get special privileges. The server accepts paypal or just go on perthcraft.buycraft.net to see what donor packages there are. Threads about issues with payment services will be found [url=perthcraft.buycraft.net]here[/url].

The banter sub-forum. Talk about anything, anything you want! Make a thread for it and discuss, just don't forget the rules (don't be disrespectful, avoid swearing as much as possible, no spamming and using correct English)

Pizza, try to make your messages longer and perhaps a bit more meaningful, 1 word posts count as spam in my book. I'm locking this thread to prevent any more posts, which turn into spam.
