One thing that springs to mind ... which I noticed is not really mentioned on the page... is that it is an English speaking server.

Sure it shows the location as the USA.. but.. that doesnt define the main language spoken

Yea, spiddles chose to set it to USA because it was hosted there.

I don't really understand why its based on USA when the Server is supposedly a Australian based timezone. Can someone please explain this for me, I don't really get all this advanced stuff

basically my gf also hunted this out.. a number of usa server based companies can offer more compared to some australian servers.. my gf currently runs a MC aussie based... but doesnt have near the capacity that the US servers give

What i mean is, that on PMC, you're allowed to select a country, completely separate to the host (you can say it's hosed in Syria)

What if we had a vote and the country that had the most votes would be the country that the server is represented in. It could be hosted in the U.S. or any other country, I see a lot of people online who are from the U.S., but I live in the U.S. so that might be why.

The server is set as an American server because it is hosted in Illinois, plus most of the players are American/European. I didn't think it would be appropriate to list an American hosted/populated server as 'Australian' just because me and Swing live in Perth.
